As a ten-year-old, I became obsessed with the endangered animals of Madagascar. This was before the movie came out, and no one in my class had heard of the African country. I had watched a National Geographic documentary on the various endangered species and how they could potentially become extinct if the means of salvation became bankrupt. Thus, while my classmates spent their summer vacation swimming in the local watering hole, I spent it doing chores and "waiting" tables at community events to raise money for the endangered animals of Madagascar. By the time we started shopping for school supplies, I had around two hundred dollars saved. I pulled out my red panda stationary that I had bought at the Oklahoma City Zoo and wrote a heartfelt letter to the Madagascar Ambassador in Washington, D.C. I included every penny saved and hoped it would go to further the rescue of the endemic animals on that island country. Although I stopped fund-raising for Madagascar, that same passion has never entirely left me. When I step onto a project, you know it is handled. There is no halfway or 99% completion; I take every job I can to the next level and personify what it means to have excellence in the company.
